 ABOUT THE BRAND DESIGN

The goal of the Ethnē Health brand design was to provide the organization with a strong icon design to support the new textured logotype. The challenge throughout the project was finding a way to visually blend Ethnē's warmth of service with the professionalism required for a healthcare facility.

THE LOGOTYPE

The modified textured font provided the base for the full brand design. We replicated this texture to complete the practice name "Ethnē Health" and used it as a texture inspiration in the icon design.

 

THE ICON

Four house shapes come together to create a directional healthcare cross. The roof lines of the house icons are thickened to highlight how the practice reaches patients of all ethnicities, pointing to the 4 corners of the earth.

 
 

Building the Brandmark

The icon consists of 4 modified house icons in the shape of a medical cross. The pointed corners of the icon help to support the "ethnē" meaning of the brand, as the practice missionally reaches people of all ethnicities.

The logotype was initially concepted by Ashly Jane of Esther+Gang and later modified by Fleecher Designs. All letters of the logotype were modified from the illustrated font, FTF Indonesiana Sketch Book Serif.
